The project embraces Thamesmead as a natural product of its social and political history, and highlights the importance of this much-avoided infrastructure in the making of a city. Regeneration in Thamesmead should be perceived as a pursuit of alchemy. Bringing alchemy to Thamesmead is not to pursue the development of an ideal town, but to put the emphasis on the potential of its resources.
